The cup exhibits - wonderful bright citrus acidity, a sweet, smooth silky mouthfeel, chocolate body with notes of ripe pineapple. This is a firm winner - we love this coffee.

The day that we visited Finca San Francisco Tecuamburro the harvest was in full swing, which was great as we got to meet all the workers that would not have been on the farm a few weeks earlier - and did we have a good chat all rounded off with a mug of coffee.
Finca San Francisco Tecuamburro is located roughly 50 Km South East of Guatemala City in the region of Fraijanes near the village of Pueblo Nuevo Viñas. The farm is about 65 hector of which most sits inside the crater of the dormant Strato-volcano called Tecuamburro, hence the name of the Finca.
The location of the Finca is truly amazing and it permits ideal climatic conditions for the production of high quality specialty coffee – ideal altitude at 1460-1770 metres, favourable temperatures brought about by a micro climate and good shade cover provided by cujillo and guagua trees.
Harvesting is undertaken by hand in stages as the cherries mature during the period January-March. The water used in the wet processing comes from fresh water springs on the farm, which also provides drinking water to the population in Chiquimulilla and Guazacapán.
The leaf-fall from the cujillo and guagua trees contributes to the leaf mould which provides rich soil humus.
